GTAGD was born from an idea that came to me during my child’s grade one inauguration. I noticed that a large portion of the introduction was spent on handing out lost school uniforms and clothing items. It became clear to me that lost school uniforms or clothing items are a wide spread issue.
However, there was no current solution to this problem. Some parents write their child’s name on uniform items like shirts, trousers and dresses and if the clothing item is found by someone else, then the names can be overwritten or erased.
With market research and an entrepreneurial approach, we decided to solve this personal security issue by starting a company that supplies tagging for clothing that is interlaced with Radio Frequency Identification. Our RFID tags are then placed inside the lining of clothing items or in inaccessible areas of clothing articles and bags.
